In only what can be described as ‘you reap what you sew’, the USA Mens Hockey Team got their free ticket to the IIHF version of the losers bracket with their loss to Finland 3-2. This bracket, called the Relegation Round was earned by the US Men’s team with their third loss in a row. There’s not much to go over here. This USA Hockey team simply lacks the talent, depth and chemistry on this roster to win.
“I liked our effort tonight,” said U.S. Head Coach Scott Gordon. “We worked hard. It’s been a challenge for us to score and that was the case again tonight. Give Finland credit though. They blocked a lot of shots and really made it difficult for us to get to the net.”
What a failure for USA Hockey after a tremendous Olympics.
