Poking around the web doing Coyotes/Red Wings series research and stumbled across this gem from the Red Wings Official Facebook Fan Page (Right click and select view image to see the larger version of this image):

teams selling playoff tickets for round 2 prior to round 1 being decided or offering them in a promotion is nothing new.

since you haven’t experienced playoff hockey in PHO in about 400 years, you get the benefit of the doubt.

Think about this logically. They do these contests and sales to get more ticket sales during Round 1 so that when Round 2 comes they dont have to try and push tickets in such a small time frame.

It’s a matter of business, not being cocky and thinking they will win.
