Game 1 to be shown on 3TV
In case you haven’t heard, Game 1 of the Coyotes/Red Wings playoff series will be on 3TV. This game will still be a Fox Sports Arizona Produced broadcast but will be on a different channel. Outside the State of Arizona the game will be on TSN in Canada and Versus in the US.
Grow a playoff Beard and raise money for Coyotes Charities
We received the following press release from the Coyotes:
The Phoenix Coyotes are inviting fans to show their support for the team during the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs while supporting a worthy cause by launching the 2010 Coyotes “Beard-A-Thon.” Fans are encouraged to grow their own playoff beards beginning April 14 in support of Coyotes Charities.
The hockey playoff beard is one of the best traditions in sports, and now fans can join in on the tradition by “growing one for the team.” Participants in the Coyotes Beard-A-Thon will invite family, friends and business associates to pledge their playoff beards. By joining the Coyotes Beard-A-Thon, fans pledge to maintain their beard as long as the Phoenix Coyotes remains in the playoffs. Fans who are unwilling, or unable, to grow playoff beards, can also pledge select Phoenix Coyotes players’ beards. Coyotes Recall 8 players from San Antionio
The Coyotes have recalled the following players from the San Antonio Rampage Mikkel Boedker, Brett MacLean, Joel Perrault, Alexandre Picard and Kyle Turris, defenseman David Schlemko and goaltenders Al Montoya and Josh Tordjman.
Don’t expect any of these players to see ice time in their series with the Red Wings. IMO, this is more of a move to give the players a taste of what they have to look forward to and to add some more bodies into practice.
