Ice Hockey - Men's Gold Medal Game - Day 17

Forward Ryan Kesler who plays for the Vancouver Canucks and Team USA, will become the cover athlete on 2K Sport’s NHL 2K11. After a strong Olympics Tournament and an equally strong 5 year NHL career, Kesler had this to say about being on the cover of a hockey video game franchise “Having the opportunity to participate in the Olympics and play in front of my home crowd was one of the best experiences of my life. To now be chosen as the next cover athlete for NHL 2K11 is another dream come true.”

The drawback to this is that this game will not be published on the XBox 360 or the Playstation 2 platforms. We received a confirmation of rumors that NHL 2K11 will only be available on the Nintendo Wii. A spokesperson for 2K Sports had the following to say about this development:

We have decided to reevaluate our NHL strategy and will only be releasing NHL 2K11 for the Wii in fiscal year 2010. We want to become a stronger competitor in this category and taking a year off on PS3 and Xbox 360, while focusing on making the best possible game for Wii, should allow us to accomplish that goal.

We started this site to meet the growing demand by Coyotes fans in their need for Coyotes News. We do things a bit differently here. We don\'t provide the canned articles you would find on most other sites. We provide analysis, news, and information with a bit of attitude. EDITORIAL MISSION: We let the other guy handle the box scores and stuff like that. We fill in the gaps in coverage....and trust me there are lots of gaps in local coverage that need to be filled.
