The Phoenix Coyotes are back to work after the Olympic break and take on the St. Louis Blues tonight at 7 at the Jobing.com arena.  This game not only marks the last time these two teams meet this season but it also marks the beginning of the last 19 games of the season.

The fourth place (in the Western Conference) Phoenix Coyotes are looking to build….

….wait a second.

Both these teams have had two weeks off (the ones who weren’t Olympians that is…) and are well rested.  As much as I like to look at the stats for upcoming game, this one really doesn’t warrant a breakdown.

The countdown to the playoffs starts today.  T-19 games and counting….

Things to watch for:

- Rust – There’s bound to be some rust in the first part of the game as both teams have been off (and not allowed to practice) for two weeks.  It can potentially be an average game for about a period.

Keys to the game:

1) Defensive Discipline – The Blues are a tough team….when they play as a cohesive unit.  Regardless of which Blues team shows up tonight, the Coyotes have to play both of them the same way…tight and tough defense that doesn’t allow hardly any scoring chances.

2) Getting the Offense back on track – with 19 games left in the season now is the time to get the offense clicking on the Power Play and in other situation.

3) Don’t take the game lightly – Even though both teams are more than likely going to be rusty, the Coyotes need to come out of the gate with a ‘bang’.

Game Notes:

- Petr Prucha and Joel Perrault are back in the lineup and available to play tonight
