The Coyotes went into the Stapler Center on a five game winning streak and left with a loss in over time that was a nail biter right to the end. This game was decided in the first period when Coyotes mental errors in their defensive zone cost the Coyotes not one but two goals.

From that point on, the Coyotes displayed a tremendous amount of character in not lying down and quitting after being down 2-0. They did come back to ties up the game. However, they played catchup all the way to the end of the shootout.

This game is a prime example of why its important for teams to play a full 60 minutes in both ends during every game.

Kings are an extremely beatable team. They just got away with a lucky win against the Coyotes.

Things to take away from this game:

They ain’t so bad – The Kings may have a high powered offense but they have shown that they are very beatable on any given night.

Offense still needs work – The Coyotes in their offensive zone have shown improvements over the past few weeks. However, they still have work to do with their offensive system.
