Coyotes/Wild pregame
Coyotes/Wild
December 7th – Jobing.com Arena – Puck Drops at 7PM
FSN AZ (HD)
This is pretty much the story of two teams that are riding a hot streak the past few games. The Minnesota Wild have not been playing too well overall this season as they have been moving from their old defensive minded system to their new system.
In the last few games the Wild have suddenly found their games and have gone 5-0 in their last five games.
The Coyotes bring a 4 game winning streak and, at times, have been playing some great hockey.
Things to watch for:
Wild first line – they have been one of the sources for the great play as of late. Andrew Brunette is among the league leaders in Power Play goals as he is one of those players who will do all the dirty work in the offensive zone that most forwards won’t.
Guillaume Latendresse – Has become a fan favorite since he was acquired from the Habs with his work ethic. He’s been a fun player to watch.
Keys to the Game:
Discipline – The Coyotes had it for the Flames game and for the first two periods of the Ottawa game. However, the meltdown in the third of the Ottawa game almost cost the Coyotes.
Time for players to step up – Sure the Coyotes have been getting contributions across the board from multiple players. However, none of the lines are considered ‘threats’ to the point to where Opposing coaches will have headaches on who spend their defensive coverages on. Pyatt, Mueller, Prucha, etc. This is the next step in the evolution of the Coyotes this season.
Injuries/Scratches:
Wild: Clutterbuck and Boogard (Flu)
Coyotes: Sauer (IR), Bissonette, Boedker
Referees – Dan O’Halloran, Steve Kozari
Linesmen – Lyle Seitz, Lonnie Cameron

We started this site to meet the growing demand by Coyotes fans in their need for Coyotes News. We do things a bit differently here. We don\'t provide the canned articles you would find on most other sites. We provide analysis, news, and information with a bit of attitude. EDITORIAL MISSION: We let the other guy handle the box scores and stuff like that. We fill in the gaps in coverage....and trust me there are lots of gaps in local coverage that need to be filled.
