You know, there’s really not much to analyze from the game. It was simply one HELL of a defensive battle and stellar goaltending on both ends.

Just take a look at the box score for the entire game:

Patrick Marleau – 0 Shots on Goal (SOG) – 20:03 Time on Ice (TOI)
Danny Heatley – 1 SOG – 16:40 TOI
Rob Blake – 2 SOG – 18:58 TOI

For the Coyotes, Shane Doan and Radim Vrbata had seven and six shots on goal respectively but the shots trail off from there…

For example, Jim Vandermeer had 0 shots on goal with 20:37 TOI.

The Coyotes played very well but they still have work to do. They have shown signs of some brilliance in their offensive zone play but the Coyotes shooters still all aren’t on the same page chemistry wise with the setup men. Again, it’s gonna take time but they’re all moving in the right direction.
