In case you haven’t heard, Darren Pang has been hired by the St. Louis Blues in what seems to be as their TV analyst. Pang has been in the Coyotes booth for the past four seasons and his trademark ‘Holy Jumpin’ has been and always will be a fan favorite! It’s sad to see a great analyst leave. However, the Blues now have a great team in their booth.
Here’s more on the story from the Blues perspective:
UPDATE 3:15 PM July 9, 2009 AZ Time:
The Phoenix coyotes just released the following statement about Pang’s departure:
“On behalf of the Phoenix Coyotes organization and our television broadcast partners, FOX Sports Arizona and AZ-TV, I’d like to congratulate Darren Pang on his new position with the St. Louis Blues and thank him for his four years of service to the Coyotes. Darren has long been one of the best hockey broadcasters in the business and we are proud to have had him as one of the voices and faces of our organization. We wish him and his family the best in this new endeavor.” – Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss
